Team Qualifications


SCSARDA members come from many professional backgrounds that add great diversity and the skills necessary to maintain standards of excellence in Search and Rescue work. Some of these backgrounds include law enforcement, EMS, fire service, and nursing.

All operational members have training in search tactics, wilderness survival, land navigation, and NIMS. SCSARDA members maintain certifications in NASAR (SAR Tech III or higher), CPR, first aid, ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800.

Many SCSARDA members have obtained additional specialized skills either in their careers or while participating with SCSARDA. These skills include:
